Stilboestrol (also known as diethylstilbestrol) is a type of nonsteroidal oestrogen. It is used for the treatment of urinary incontinence in dogs, prostate hypertrophy (enlargement), certain types of cancers, and reproductive conditions. Hormone responsive incontinence in dogs is common and most often seen in spayed bitches, particularly those spayed before 20 weeks of age.
